OCTOBER Adult Senior Activities

Each Friday is “Potluck” and card games. Dinner starts around 5/5:30pm followed by playing card games.

Located at the Community Center in the Adult Seniors Room.

Senior Aerobic Exercise Class

Every Tuesday 9:45am in the Community Center Gym

Senior Yoga Class

Every Tuesday 11:00am in the Community Center Gym

(Exercise and yoga instructors are Silver Sneaker certified)

BINGO
BINGO is held every 3rd Thursday of each month - 10am

Located at the Community Center in the Upper Cafeteria.

 

Helena Seniors Program

The Helena Senior Citizens activities group, which is operated by the Helena Parks and Recreation Department, is open to individuals 55 years of age and older who live in Helena/Shelby County. All members will need to complete a membership application prior to participating in any program or activity. There is no charge to be a member of the Senior Group; however, fees may be associated with certain trips, programs and activities.

PLAYGROUNDS, PUBLIC RESTROOMS, WALKING TRACK AND PARKS ARE OPEN.

BALLFIELDS ARE OPEN FOR PRACTICES AND INDIVIDUAL USE. PLEASE CONTACT THE PARK OFFICE TO SCHEDULE PRACTICES OR TEAM GATHERINGS.

• Keep six feet of social distancing between people of
different households while useing facilities.

• Increase hygiene practices: wash hands frequently, avoid
touching your face, practice good etiquette when coughing
or sneezing.

• Screen yourself and any participating child for symptoms
before coming to facilities with the following questions:
o Have you or the child been in close contact with a
confirmed case of COVID-19?
o Are you or the child experiencing a cough, shortness of
breath or sore throat?
o Have you or the child had a fever in the last 48 hours?
o Have you or the child experienced new loss of taste or smell?
o Have you or the child experienced vomiting or diarrhea in
the last 24 hours?
•Screen for fever

Anyone who exhibits COVID-19 symptoms (answers yes
to any of the screening questions or who is running a fever)
should leave the Facility  immediately, or not go to it,
and seek medical care or COVID-19 testing or both.

 

TRAVEL TEAMS:

In order to reserve a Helena field:

Cost of a field is $30.00 per practice (1.5 hours)

Your team must be at least 60% Helena players.

Provide team insurance to park

Provide official team roster with addresses of players.

All practices must be scheduled through the park office.
