The Helena Public Library is currently open to the public. Due to the Covid-19 virus, we have implemented changes to the Library.
-We have returned to our normal operating hours.
-The public access computers are available for use. There is a 1 hour limit per patron, per day.
-The Meeting rooms will NOT be available for use.
-The library will NOT have any in house programs until further notice
-The Helena Library is open to our patron to come in to visit. However for those who do not feel comfortable coming in, we offer curbside service for items requested online. Call us at 205 664-8308 for pickup when you arrive. At this time movies are not available for curbside service.
Services still available at this time include:
-Online Storytime (link) every Tuesday and Thursday
-E-books, downloadable magazines, and audiobooks available through Overdrive or Libby
-Limited WIFI in parking lot close to Library building
-Library Staff available for questions via telephone 205-664-8308 or e-mail [email protected]
-Accessible online databases including The Alabama Virtual Library, Heritage Quest, LearningExpress, Live Homework Help, and more
-Visit www.shelbycounty-al.org to access these helpful resources

Public Libraries of Shelby County are still here for you and your family.
