On June 12, 2023, the Helena City Council passed Resolution 06122023 accepting petition submited by qualitied electors of the Jefferson County Indian Ford Fire District requestions a Referendum Election to annex the district as a whole to the City of Helena.
On June 26, 2023, the Helena City Council passed Resoltuion 06262023 calling for the Referendum Election to held on August 8, 2023 from 7:00 am – 7:00 pm at Southcrest Baptist Church located to 4317 S. Shades Crest Road.
