Public Notice of test check of voting tabulators: PUBLIC NOTICE           Public Notice is hereby given of the test-check of voting tabulators On Wednesday, August 19, 2020, beginning at 1:00 PM, the election officials from various municipalities will begin checking and/or “test voting” and sealing the Electronic Vote Tabulating machines which will be used in the August 25, 2020 Municipal Elections for said cities located in Shelby County having elections on said date. Municipalities included are: Alabaster, Calera, Chelsea, Columbiana, Harpersville, Helena, Hoover, Montevallo, Pelham, Vincent, Wilsonville and Wilton. Some municipalities may have residents who reside in outlying counties who may vote at precincts utilizing these tabulators. The tabulator voting tests will be conducted at Shelby County Warehouse, located at 280 McDow Road, Columbiana, AL 35151. Helena Road (SR-261) Improvements at Proposed Commercial Development



Sealed Bids for the construction of Helena Road (SR-261) Improvements at Proposed Commercial Development will be received, by the City of Helena at City of Helena City Hall, 816 Hwy 52 East, Helena, AL 35080, until 2:00 PM local time on June 25, 2020, at which time the Bids received will be publicly opened and read. The Project consists of roadway widening on Helena Road (SR-261) to construct new center/left turn lanes, three right turn/deceleration lanes, four commercial driveway turnouts and associated work. The project also includes the relocation of approximately 1,381 feet of 8” sanitary sewer and 650 feet of 8” water mains. The Project is being constructed under a permit from the Alabama Department of Transportation that has been obtained by the City of Helena.




Bids will be received for a single prime Contract. Bids shall be on a lump sum basis.


Prequalification is not required, however, Bidders shall be currently qualified to bid and construct projects with the Alabama Department of Transportation.


Bidding Documents also may be examined at Helena City Hall, 816 Hwy 52E, Helena, AL 35080 on Mondays through Fridays between the hours of 8:00 am and 4:30 pm.
